What is the Archive Catalog?

Real sales. Real prices.

The Archive Catalog shows items sold on our marketplace, with actual sale prices and large photos.

Appraisal based on real world transactions

Seeing what a similar item actually sold for is one of the most reliable ways to determine its value.

Track market trends

Curious how the price of an artist or item category has changed over the years? The price history going back to 2010 can reveal trends too.

Helps identify items

Large photos, marks, signatures — visual browsing helps you identify your own pieces. Alongside actual sale prices, you also get guidance on their value.

Browse, discover, learn

With smart search and filters, you can study item characteristics and prices. The knowledge you gain can turn into money in the trade.

Try it

See what it looks like inside

Anyone can ask any price, but what does it actually sell for? Listing prices are often misleading. In the Archive Catalog, you see actual sale prices.

Who is it for?

Sellers, dealers, heirs

Selling, valuing, inheriting? The question is the same: what is it worth?

For sellers

Before you create a listing, check what similar pieces sold for. That way, you won’t price it below the market or unrealistically high, and you’ll find a buyer sooner.

Dealers and appraisers

An everyday work tool: nearly 2 million completed sales with photos and prices, for identification and pricing, both behind the counter and in the field.

For heirs

Has a long-kept family piece turned up? Before relying on anyone’s opinion, check what similar pieces actually sold for. That way, you’ll know exactly what you have.

Avoid scams

It matters who you ask

Social media, self-proclaimed experts

In public social media groups, oversight is limited, which creates two risks. First: you can’t know whether the reply comes from a real expert or just a self-appointed commenter. Second: someone may intentionally undervalue the item so they or someone they know can later buy it cheaply.

Buyer offer

Getting a quote from a buyer may seem like the obvious option. But that amount is, by nature, a purchase price. Someone looking to buy wants a good deal, and that doesn’t always reflect the item’s true market value. Without a point of reference, it’s easy to sell valuable pieces for less than they’re really worth.

Galeria Savaria Archive Catalog

Something is worth what someone will pay for it. Especially in antiques. The Archive Catalog shows items successfully sold on our marketplace with their actual sale prices — not opinions, but completed sales. You can search nearly 2 million completed sales, so you can base your decision on what people actually paid for similar pieces.

FAQ

Questions before subscribing

How is this different from an appraisal?

An appraisal is an estimated price of what an item might be worth. The Archive Catalog, by contrast, shows facts: completed sales where someone actually paid the price. And you don’t get just one data point — you can compare many similar items with photos and descriptions, and the price history going back to 2010 also shows how the market has moved. It’s all available instantly: no appointment needed, and no per-item fee. With one subscription, you can research as many items as you like. That’s why professional appraisers and dealers use the Archive Catalog as a working tool too.

What data do I see in the Catalog?

As a subscriber, you can see the sale price, large photos, and the seller’s item description for every item.

What items are included in the Catalog? Will I find something similar to mine?

The Catalog includes everything that has sold on our marketplace — from paintings, porcelain, and clocks to furniture, retro items, and numismatic pieces — nearly 2 million items in total. You can check whether there’s something similar to your item even without a subscription: search is open to everyone, while a subscription unlocks the sale price, large photos, and item description. And if you don’t know the exact name of the item, image search can help you find similar pieces from a photo.

Do I need a subscription to use Galeria Savaria too?

No. You don’t need a subscription to use the marketplace for browsing, buying, or selling — that stays the same. The subscription only gives access to the Archive Catalog: sale prices, large photos, and item descriptions from completed sales.

Do I get information on the seller and the buyer of an item?

No. The Galeria Savaria Archive Catalog does not display the name of the seller, nor the buyer.

How often is the Catalog updated?

The Catalog is updated on a daily basis, so there is new content in it every day.

How are payments done?

The subscription is paid by bank card. The fee is charged automatically when you start the subscription and again at each renewal. You can cancel anytime, and your access will remain active until the end of the paid period.

How can I cancel my subscription?

In your account, on the Subscriptions page, in just one click, anytime. Your access will still remain active until the end of the paid period.

Why is the Archive Catalog only available by bank card?

Because it gives you instant, uninterrupted access: with card payment, your subscription renews automatically, so you don’t need to start a transfer every month and wait for it to clear. Cancellation is just as easy — one click in your account.
