A 19th-century Biedermeier picture clock, with a painting on a metal plate, signed in the lower left: Vögel pinx. The painting measures 55x81 cm, plus frame! The clock mechanism is a 19th-century, hand-wound (keyed), half-hour chime Japy Frères, small pendulum clock! It works, keeps good time, and chimes on the half and full hour. It requires minor adjustment and gains a few minutes daily! Important notes about the item: It was stored in poor condition for a long time, so a rear wooden case was made from pine with a dark stain. The frame was also replaced due to damage. The painting is in good condition, with no restoration needed, and was treated on the back to preserve it. The clock has been fitted with a new securing part! The front glass was already glued in place, and this has been left as is. The original screws are included. I would estimate the current condition at about 95%. It is a beautiful, enjoyable piece but may need some minor care... However, it is fully functional as shown in the pictures and video. It currently decorates our dining room wall! Please consider that this is a partially restored picture clock. Thank you for reading the description; I am happy to answer any questions.
Personal pickup in Budapest is possible, or it can be shipped disassembled!
