Painter (Balmazújváros, Jan. 9, 1913 - Debrecen, Oct. 1, 1992). Graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1937, mentored by Gyula Rudnay and Nándor Varga. Taught at the Szeghalom Gymnasium until 1940, then at the Dóczi Girls' School in Debrecen from 1941. From 1950-75, he was a teacher at the Debrecen Teachers' College. Summer artist colonies in Szada (1960), Dunaújváros (1964), and Tokaj (later). Founding member of the Balmazújváros Art Camps, participant in the Hortobágy International Art Colony. Awarded the Székely Bertalan Memorial Medal in 1975 and the SZOT Prize in 1988. Primarily a landscape painter. His intimate, lyrical watercolors, gouaches, and oil paintings depict Hortobágy, small streets of Debrecen. His works are held in the Hungarian National Gallery. (Exhibitions: 1962, 1972: TIT G.
