A few photos, a few lines, and our experts handle the rest. The entire appraisal process takes place online.
Photos and description
At least 3 clear photos of the item, including a close-up of any mark or signature. Add a few lines with what you know about it: size, material, history.

We’ll notify you within 3 business days at the latest. You can view the result in your account. If you'd like to sell it, you can create a listing on Galeria Savaria.
Antiques, artworks, and collectibles
Not sure what the painting on your wall, the porcelain in your display case, or the furniture you inherited from your grandparents might be worth? You can request an appraisal for these and many other items.
Unfortunately, we can’t help with appraisals for rugs, stamps, coins, paper antiques, militaria, musical instruments, or clothing. For these, the Archive Catalog offers guidance based on actual sale prices. Check the Archive Catalog →
What do you get with an appraisal?
The appraisal is for informational purposes only and cannot be used as an official reference.
Check the Archive Catalog
The Archive Catalog shows actual sale prices — the amount the buyers actually paid. It’s one of the most reliable ways to gauge an item’s value. No waiting, no limits: search nearly 2 million completed sales with photos, dating back to 2010, including items we don’t appraise.

No reason to undervalue
We do not buy antiques ourselves. That means the appraisal is not a purchase offer — it’s about your item’s value.

FAQ
What people usually ask about appraisals
How much does an appraisal cost?
Online appraisal is free. A security verification is required to submit a request. There’s no obligation — you do not have to sell your item.
How is this different from the Archive Catalog?
An appraisal gives you an estimated value: our experts estimate what your item may be worth based on the photos and description. The Archive Catalog, by contrast, shows facts: completed sales where the buyer actually paid the price shown. Instead of a single estimate, you can compare many similar pieces with photos and descriptions, and the price history going back to 2010 also shows how the market is moving. All instantly, with no limits, for any number of items.
How long does it take to get a response?
Our experts process requests continuously, so you may receive a response within a few hours. We’ll notify you within 3 business days at the latest, and you can view the result in your account.
When can I submit a request?
On business days between 6 AM and 6 PM. The service is not available on weekends. This helps us keep the 3-business-day turnaround.
What do I need to send?
At least 3 clear photos and a short description. Please also photograph any mark, signature, or brand up close, as these can affect the value. In the description, include anything you know about the item: size, material, history.
Which items are not eligible for appraisal?
Unfortunately, we can’t help with appraisals for rugs, stamps, coins, paper antiques, militaria, musical instruments, or clothing. For these, you can use the Archive Catalog for guidance based on actual sale prices.
Can I sell my item on Galeria Savaria after the appraisal?
Yes. You can create a listing for your item in just a few minutes — at a fixed price, open to offers, or as an auction — and each uploaded listing unlocks another appraisal. After a successful sale, we charge a 6% commission. If your item doesn’t sell, there’s no commission. You can find the detailed fee schedule here.
How much is your antique worth? Just a few photos are enough.
