Editing an active auction

The data you can edit at your active auction depends on 2 factors:

- how much time is left until the auction expires
- whether a bid was placed for the item

Below we have collected information about editing certain data of an auction item:

Item title
The item title cannot be changed if there is a bid for it, or less than 12 hours are left until the expiry of the auction.

Category and parameters of the item
The category or parameters of the item cannot be edited if there is a bid for it, or less than 12 hours are left until the expiry of the auction.

Item description
The description of the item cannot be edited if there is a bid for it, or less than 12 hours are left until the expiry of the auction; instead, the additional description field can be used.

Item image
Item images can no longer be deleted after a bid has been placed for the auction, but new images can be uploaded.

Listing type
Auction style listings can only be changed to fixed price listing if there is no bid at the auction.

Expiration date
The duration of the auction cannot be changed if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction.

Reserve price
If a bid has already been placed, a reserve price cannot be set, increased, or cancelled any more. The reserve price cannot be reduced to or below the current highest bid.

Buy it now price
The Buy it now price cannot be set or changed if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction.

Starting price
The starting price cannot be changed if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction. In case of an increase to the starting price - if the increased price falls into a higher auction fee category - the fee of auction starting will be charged.
Important: in case of a reduction, no fee will be returned

Bid increments
The bid increments cannot be changed if a bid has already been placed for the item.

Payment options
A payment option already set cannot be removed - only upgraded - if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction.

Shipping options
A shipping option already set cannot be removed - only upgraded - if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction. Shipping fees can only be reduced if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction. The option of “no delivery abroad” - if it has previously been set - cannot be cancelled if a bid has already been placed for the item or if there is less than 12 hours left until the expiry of the auction.
