Festő. Tanulmányait a budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán végezte 1953-ban. Mesterei Kmetty János, Pór Bertalan, Koffán Károly és Szőnyi István voltak. A miskolci művésztelepen tevékenykedett 1955-től 1972-ig. Munkácsy-díjat kapott. 1954 óta szerepel tárlatokon. A Kilencek alapító tagja, valamennyi tárlatuk állandó résztvevője. Jelentősebb hazai kiállításai: Miskolc, Pécs, Műcsarnok (1966, 1968). Műveit Európában, az Egyesült Államokban, Japánban is kiállították.
