Along with Mario radice, manlio rho, aldo galli, carla badiali and others, he belonged to the art group called "astrattisti comaschi", which refers to the European experience of abstract art.

Fascinated by rationalist architecture, he was one of the first Italian artists to break with figurative art and join the abstract movement flourishing across Europe at the time.

Radice worked closely with the most important Italian rationalist architects (terragni, lingeri, sartoris and cattaneo) and gained international popularity with the abstract frescoes of the famous comóicasa del fascio between 1933 and 1936, giuseppe terragni's masterpiece for the national government. The frescoes were eventually destroyed at the end of World War II, but photographic documentation still exists.

His works were presented at nine Venice Biennales between 1940 and 1979, three of which were exhibited in private rooms. Recently (2007) some of his works were featured in two major exhibitions in the Royal Palace of Milan: camera con vista and Kandinsky and Italian abstract art.

Similar to the works of the other founder of the Italian abstract movement, Manlio Rhonaka, radice's art can be recognized by its clean and harmonious geometric shapes in warm colors.

Radice's works are in the permanent collections of many modern art museums, including Milan, Toronto, Rovereto, Turin and Rome.
