This wall clock has been in our family for several generations, inherited from my great-grandfather (George Baritz, also known as George Barit, in Romanian George Baritiu, a historical figure in the European Revolution of 1848). The wall clock is original, the Gustav Becker logo and the Medaille D'or / Gold Medal and serial number are clearly visible on the back of the mechanism (as shown in the pictures). The case may have minor chips (due to its age of almost 150 years) and may need some restoration (repainting, waxing). The 5.25 diameter porcelain dial with decorative center and repoussé pendulum is original to the house and is in excellent physical condition. The front and side glass are original. One of the pulleys (to which a weight is attached) may need repair.
