Creating a sale
Everyone likes to buy with discounts. Discounted items appear with a distinctive marking and a new upload date, i.e. they will be sorted to the beginning of the page among the listed items.
You can start a sale at a discounted price in several ways, depending on whether you would like to create a sale for items one by one or more at once.
Create a sale for items one by one
- Go to the My items page
- Click on the More actions button next to the item you wish to discount, then select Sale
- In the pop-up window, select the discount rate and the period of the discount
- Click on the Save button
Create a sale for select items
- Go to the My items page
- Select the items you wish to discount by using the checkbox before the listings
- Click on the “Sale” button on the top bar
- In the pop-up window, select the discount rate and the period of the discount
- Click on the Save button
Create a sale for a whole category
- Go to the My items page
- Click on the “Sale” button on the top bar
- In the pop-up window, select whole category then the category you want to discount
- Here you can also set the discount rate and the period of the discount
- Click on the Save button
Useful information:
- discounts can only be used in case of fixed price listings
- an active discount cannot be cancelled
- by modifying the price of the item in the sale, the discount status will be lost
- an item must be available for at least 3 days in order to be discounted
- due to consumer protection policies only those items can be discounted that's price wasn't changed in the last 14 days
