Listing guidelines

Transparent and easy-to-understand listings build trust in buyers towards sellers. If you comply with the guidelines on item listing, you will not only be able to attract satisfied customers, but they can also help you achieve more successful sales. We consider it important for sellers to list their items with content of the right quantity and quality.

Below you can review our listing guidelines.

Item title

The title of the items must be accurate, straightforward, and clear. Be sure to include keywords typical to the item in the title.

By default, the search engine performs search among item titles, i.e., your item will only appear in the search results if the keyword is included in the title.

Item description

Customers are informed about the item offered for sale based on the item description.
It is essential to provide sufficient information to your listing.

Keep in mind: what is clear to you about the item is most probably not known to the customer, so always be sure to present the item in full detail.

It is mandatory to indicate the following:

  • item dimensions
  • condition of the item
  • if the item has any defects or damages

It is not allowed to:

  • use “see picture” and similar phrases to describe the general condition of the item

The appearance of a listing

Make sure your listing looks sophisticated and well-edited.
It should be an organized listing which is “good to look at” – your item deserves it. This way, your listing attracts more potential customers.

For this, it is enough to comply with some basic requirements, such as:

  • Capitalize your sentences
  • Do not overuse punctuation marks (e.g.: ...... or !!!!!)
  • Do not use special characters
  • Organize the item description into paragraphs and use a list where possible, instead of publishing the text of the listing in “bulk”.

Images

In addition to the description, pictures have the biggest role in influencing buyers to make a purchase. Buyers collect information on what kind of items they can expect based on the photos.

As a result of the character of the items, at our online marketplace, it is especially important to add images of proper quality and quantity so that the customer can get a picture of the condition of the item.

Shipping and payment conditions

It is important to clearly indicate your payment and shipping conditions to the listing so buyers know what to expect if they purchase the item.

In the shipping fees field, please indicate the amount for which you can deliver the item intact, in proper packaging, in accordance with the condition stated in the listing.

The shipping fees that were provided when you uploaded your listing may have changed in the meantime. Please ensure that the shipping fees are up to date and that you update your listings to reflect any changes. An easy way to do this is to use shipping templates, which allow you to make bulk changes to the shipping settings of your listings with just a few clicks.

Important: as a seller, you can't charge the buyer a higher shipping fee for a specific delivery option than the one indicated in the shipping information. The seller is not exempted from this requirement if the seller informs the buyer in the description of the listing that shipping fees are subject to change and that the current shipping costs at the time of purchase apply, regardless of the shipping costs stated in the listing.

As a seller, you must make sure that there is a record that you have shipped the item, so we recommend that you choose a shipping option that provides a tracking number for the package. Once dispatched, enter the tracking code on the Sold items page so that the buyer not only receives an automatic notification of the dispatch, but can also track the package's route.

Keep the proof of delivery document and the tracking number. If the buyer reports that they have not received the item, this is the only way for you to prove that you have shipped the item.

It is not allowed to:

  • charge additional costs for packaging or the packaging material; if this has a fee, it must be included in the shipping cost

Price

One of the most important aspects of a successful sale is getting the pricing right. Pricing that is completely out of touch with reality not only makes it impossible to sell successfully, but can also create mistrust among buyers. We therefore ask you to set a realistic selling price for your item.

It is not allowed to:

  • listing an item with unrealistically high prices

Shipping and delivery time

Buyers surely want to know when they will receive the item purchased.
In the item description, you can indicate the expected date of posting after payment.

Archive Catalog

Since the start of our online marketplace, we have kept facing the same problem: many people are not aware of the value of their items. An excellent starting point for determining the value of antiques, works of art and collectors' items is to have real sales prices. In other words, we do not rely on individual opinions or on what a seller advertises the item for, but on what others have paid for it in the past.

Please note that by listing an item, you as the seller agree that after the sale of the item, the product photos uploaded with the listing, the product description and the sale price will be available to the subscribers of the Archive Catalogue. Except listings uploaded in the Wardrobe and Handmade items category. The Archive Catalog makes items available anonymously, without the username of the seller or buyer.
