László Balogh (Szentendre, 1930- 2002) Münkacsy Prize-winning painter and graphic artist. He graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts as a student of Jenő Barcsay and György Konecsni. Since 1958, he has been a member of the (old) artist colony in Szentendre, and since 1981 he has been a member of the graphic workshop in Szentendre.
One of Barcsay's most direct disciples. His early works are still strongly connected to the cityscape of Szentendre. In the 1970s and 1980s, he was already preoccupied with pure painterly problems. His graphic work is also significant, he designed numerous book covers and posters.
