János Orosz, (name version: oross) (Budapest, June 16, 1932 - August 7, 2019) Munkácsy Michael Prize-winning Hungarian painter, sculptor, meritorious and excellent artist
He graduated from the College of Fine Arts in 1957, his masters were Géza Fónyi and Jenő Barcsay. In 1959-61 he was a derkovits scholarship holder. In 1963-64 he studied in Italy. In 1993-94 he was the president of the Szinyei company. Since 2014 he has been a non-academic public body member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
He came to me as a family heirloom from my aunt, who was in good friendship with the artist. The picture is in the frame shown in the photo, glazed,
