Miklós/Nicolas/Nicholas Farkasházy (1895-1964)  painter, graphic designer, industrial artist. His great-grandfather is the Farkasházi-Fischer Mór, the founder of the Herend porcelain factory. He began his studies at the school of industrial design. He presented his pictures for the first time in 1915, at the exhibition of the National Salon. After the fall of the Soviet Republic - on the advice of Marcel Nemes - he traveled to Munich, where he studied applied graphics under the guidance of Willy Geiger. In addition to colorful iron and ink drawings, he also achieved success in this field, illustrating books and magazines and designing posters. In 1922, the Minerva Hall in Munich, and two years later the exhibition hall of the Mentor bookstore, housed his works. In 1926, he appeared at the group exhibition of the national salon with more than a hundred graphics. In 1927, he joined kut, a collective of Hungarian progressive artists. From the end of the twenties, he turned to painting. He worked with strong colors in his oil, tempera and pastel paintings, using the technique of pointillism. He presented his paintings at the Fränkel Salon in 1933. From 1935, he made plastic line reliefs (fadofit) with his wife Donner Gertrúd. In the last years of his life, he painted colorful, abstract compositions. After his death, the first posthumous exhibition of his works was held in San Francisco in 1989.
