Miklós Szerelmey (born Nicolaus Carl Liebe, Győr, July 3, 1803 – Died in Budapest, August 5, 1875)
Inventor, engineer, lithographer, native of color lithography in Hungary, creator of the genre of Hungarian caricature.
In the mid-1830s, Miklós Szerelmey established a lithography in the Austrian capital, and in 1845 he opened his "stone printing institute" in Pest, at Dorottya utca 16.
He published albums promoting domestic landscapes based on foreign models, illustrated with his own drawings, and these volumes are still considered the finest masterpieces of our artistic book printing.
He is credited with establishing the art of caricature in Hungary.
He made one of his best-known caricatures about the egg boy and the young people of March who dream of founding a newspaper.
