Domokos Gaal (1940-2009) painter, graphic designer. He graduated from the Budapest College of Fine Arts as a student of Gyula Pap and Sándor Ék in 1963 in the class of Imre Bak, Pál Deim, István Nádler and Ágnes Paróczi.
In 1971, he held his first solo exhibition in Budapest, in 1979 in Kecskemét, and in 1981 he presented his collection in Szolnok. He went on a study trip to Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France. He participated in group exhibitions in the Ernst museum, the art gallery, Szombathely.
The main area of his work is graphics, including etching. He made a series of 25 etchings about the landmarks of Budapest in the last century, however, the city was built in the 20th century. He also modeled his century pictures. In addition to these, he created countless illustrations for educational books and textbooks.
