László Morvay was born in Esztergom in 1947. He obtained a drawing teacher's certificate at the teacher training college in Eger and then graduated from the college of fine arts. Between 1979-82, he was a teacher at the Vocational High School of Vocational and Applied Arts in Budapest, and between 1985-94, he was an assistant professor at the teacher training college in Pécs. He organized several symposia and artist camps at home and abroad. President of the Hungarian Association of Fire Enamel Artists, head of the Imre Gaál Youth and Children's Art Studio, member of the Association of Hungarian Illustrators and the Association of Hungarian Graphic Artists in 1978, 1982 and 1988, he received a graphic award, and in 1995 he received a grand award for enamel art.
In Tiszakécské, Dobogókön and Esztergom, you can see his fire enamel murals, in Nagyvárad his fire enamel altarpiece and Way of the Cross, in Opusztaszer the seven-arrow composition of the Hungarians, and in Tóti and Harkány you can see his wing altar. In 1974 and 1991 in Esztergom, in 1976, 1981 and 1999 in Budapest, in 1977 in Selmecbány, in 1978 in Liége, in 1980 in Zurich, in 1987 in the United States, in 1988 in Tokyo , he had solo exhibitions in Munich in 1989, Vienna in 1990, and Hamburg in 1996.
