később Genfben, majd 1921-22-ben Párizsban élt.
1924-től a KUT rendszeres kiállítóművésze.
1928-tól Róma, a Collegium Hungaricum ösztöndíjasa, majd Róma egyéni hangulatú alkotójává válik.
1933-1970 között több jelentős egyházi megbízást kap.
Több szakkönyvet írt,1994-ben jelentek meg. Illusztrátorként is jelentős művész. Egykori villa lakását lánya Éva magán múzeumként működteti a Ménesi úton.
