Fabulous rosy lithography, flawless embossed lace edge - an increasingly rare antique in such beautiful condition.

Size: 11 x 7 cm

Lithography, in Hungarian: stone printing, (Greek λίθος – lithos: 'stone' + γράφω – graphó: 'to scratch, write, draw') is a graphic process based on the principle of plane printing, and was once one of the most important processes in printing technology. The print produced in this way is also called lithography or lithography.

This process was invented by Alois Senefelder in 1796, and in 1799 the mayor of Buda, József Laszlovszky, already installed a lithographic flatbed printer in the town hall in the Buda castle district. Lithography was a popular method in the 19th century, practiced by masters such as Soma Petrich Orlai and Miklós Barabás. The Kossuth Bank was also made with lithography by master printer Vince Grimm. The first domestically produced postage stamp was also made with this technique after the agreement, in 1871. Color prints were also made by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Alfons Mucha. (Wikipedia)
