Boldizsár István 1897 - 1984
1918 és 1919 között a budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán Réti István osztályában tanult, majd Nagybányán Thorma János, Kecskeméten pedig Iványi Grünwald Béla oktatta. 1920-1923 között Nemes Marcell ösztöndíjával a müncheni akadémián tanult. Bécsben, majd Budapesten telepedett le, ahol 1924-től tartott fenn műtermet. A nyarakat általában Nagybányán töltötte. 1941-ben a Képzőművészeti Főiskola tanárává nevezték ki. 1979-ben szülővárosában önálló képtára nyílt.
