Júlia Bokros (1931-): perpetual calendar, marked glazed industrial wall ceramics, 1972. Large unique ceramic work. On the back, with bushy julia owl-motif artistic imprint and 1972 date. This creation of his preceded his first public work by ten years, which is a four-part ceramic perpetual calendar placed inside the bus station in Tiszafüred. Size: 31x31 cm, weight: 2219 gr. In good condition for its age, with minor chips on the glaze as shown in the pictures.
Júlia Bokros (Budapest, September 24, 1931 -) Hungarian ceramist. Her husband was a painter László Bokors, with whom she lived from 1957 to 1989 in the artist colony in Szolnok, then moved to Szigliget.
He makes his reliefs, sculptures, dishes and wall coverings using an individual version of the eosin glaze technique of the former Zsolnay method. Founding member of the Veszprém artist's guild.
His first solo exhibition was in the Hungarian National Gallery in 1966, and since then his works have been continuously presented in group exhibitions.
