Yellow table lamp from Walter Viehweger from 1950. With pull switch with e27 bulb. Cult lamp, original in good condition, 2 gold threads missing.

Unfortunately, the e. Not much can be found about Walter viehweger kg. It operated from 1955 to 1972. The best known lamp they make is the table or bedside lamp. Many other lamps are also made of this type of plastic. You can find many examples on the net.

The e. Mr Walter viehweger worked in Grünhain, a small town in the Erzgebirgskreis district of Saxony. Grünhain has been part of the Beierfeld since 2005. It was located in eastern Germany at the time, near the Czech border.

The town has two personalities named viehweger, both architects born in Grünhain. August Friedrich Vehweger (1836-1919), architect and Hermann Viehweger (1846-1922). Probably e. They're dealing with Walter viehweger.

Like all other companies in the GDR, the viehweger was state-owned. All labels on lamps manufactured by East German companies are yellow and red. It was mandatory.

In 1969, the 15 largest electrical, electronic and optical manufacturers in the ndk were merged to form the volkseigener betriebe elektrischer konsumgüter (state-owned enterprise for electrical consumer goods).

In 1972, due to nationalization, almost all NDK lamp manufacturers merged under the name web narva.
