A Magyar Nemzeti Bank 2003. szeptember 10-én a Budapesti Filharmóniai Társaság megalakulásának 150. évfordulója alkalmából 5000 forint névértékű ezüst emlékpénzérmét bocsátott ki.
Az érme előlapján a Budapesti Filharmóniai Társaság címere található, a hátlapon pedig Erkel Ferenc, Dohnányi Ernő, Bartók Béla, Kodály Zoltán portréja látható.
Az érmét Sz. Egyed Emma szobrászművész tervezte.
Az érme 925 ezrelék finomságú ezüstből készült, súlya 31,46 gramm, átmérője 38,61 mm, széle recézett.
