Sándor Sebestyén (1949-2010) was born in Lónya and trained as a glass technician in Jena. Since 1980, he has been professionally involved in sculpture and coinage. 1981-83-84-92 Nyíregyháza-Sóstó international medal and participant of the small plastic symposium. He participated in several fidem exhibitions (stockholm, colorado springs, helsinki). He had solo exhibitions in Nyíregyháza and Hódmezővásárhely, among others. Awards: 1982 silver javelin competition, ii. Award 1987 Dante Biennale, Ravenna, iii. Prize 1988 Sot Kassák lajos scholarship won prizes in several commemorative fund competitions.
His medals and sculptures are in public collections: London, British Museum; colorado springs, air force academy; Nyíregyháza, András Jósa Museum; ravenna, dante center; Budapest, National Gallery; preserved by the collections of Pécs and Hódmezővásárhely.
