Györgyi Lantos (1953-): v. Agricultural economics academic days pearly mcmxcvi. Bronze plaque, 1996. Lute master mark, in good condition. Diameter: 80 mm, weight: 179 gr. In original snakeskin patterned box.

The plaque is rare and has not appeared before at auction.

Györgyi Lantos was born in 1953 in Hódmezővásárhely. From 1971 to 1976, he studied sculpture at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, his master was: Iván szabó. Member of the Association of Fine and Industrial Artists and the National Association of Hungarian Creative Artists.

His sculpture is based on classical traditions. Since 1975, many of his monumental works have been realized in public spaces and public buildings in Hungary. In addition to his creative activity in Szobrás, he created several leaded and painted glass windows inspired by the spirit of the Art Nouveau tradition in Gödöllő.

Exhibitions: Helsinki, Stockholm, Vienna, Budapest, Zenta, Iserlohn, Darmstadt.

Awards and honors: ravenna: dante biennale first prize, 1985; gold medal of the city of Florence, 1989; hódmezővásárhely: Tower plaque, Hungarian Republic Gold Cross of Merit, 2002.

Among his nearly half a hundred public works, the best known are: ii. World War Memorial: Hódmezővásárhely, detk, Csongrád. Niké: Győr. City founders: Cegléd, King István, Queen Gizella and Duke Imre: Budakeszi, Géza and Sarolt: Hódmezővásárhely. Baroque fountain: peasant meadow, decorative fountain with grapes: soltvadkert. Kuno Klebelsberg: Gyöngyös, college.
