A very exceptional, hand-painted, gilded, immaculate condition, marked teapot antique from 'ancient times'...

Intaglio at the bottom: p&s portheim & sons chodau,
Czech Republic, Austro-Hungarian Empire. The factory started producing porcelain in 1830. In 1845 Leopold Judah Porges von Portheim (b. 1784 – 1869) bought the factory. Since in 1841 he and his brother Mózes received the noble title of Edler von Portheim (Knight) from the Austrian Emperor Ferdinand, when Mózes and his sons joined the company in 1847, he renamed it Portheim und Sons.
In 1872, when haas & czjzek bought the factory, only haas
& Czjzek branch, named chodau.

The bottom of the milk spout and large teacup belonging to the jug can be purchased at a separate auction, and I can offer a discount if they are purchased together.
