An extremely large bronze devil statue

Készült Európában, Olaszországban, a 19. század közepétől a 20. század elejéig. Az alkotáson nincs felirat.

Hagyományos cire perdue módszerrel öntött,a szárnyak zöldellő árnyalatúak, a test pedig csillogó barna.

Bronz alappal rendelkezik, kő vagy fa talapzatra is felszerelhető belső kiállításra, kertbe, teraszra.

This is an extraordinarily large romantic-styled bronze figure of the Devil standing nearly 4 feet tall. Crafted in Europe, Italy, mid 19th to early 20th century. No inscriptions on the work. Cast by traditional lost wax (cire perdue) method, the wings and body are each patinated differently:

The wings a verdigris green hue and the body has a lustrous tan bronze patina.

This devil's wings are like a bat's; prominent curled thumbs top the sculpture. Horned, muscular demon figure with sinewy legs and strong claw-like feet.

He embodies power and brute strength, his pose is pensive and tormented, his head to the side, held in his right hand.His Fallen status, his wretchedness overwhelms him in a contemplative moment. Or perhaps the combat with Good is the burden, and we see him planing his next evil acts.

A moment of vulnerability betrayed by the huddled posture, but the snarl of the anxious face and the febrile, dynamic body reminds us we can not doubt that at any moment, he can fly to action.His eternal power, his energy and evil capacity are limitless. These qualities are captured exceptionally in this large, finely cast bronze.

The sculpture has a bronze base, and it could also be mounted on a stone or wood pedestal for interior display, or in a garden or on a terrace.
