Propeller vase jan kotik - cc late 1950s, early 1960s. (Jan Kotik is a radical figure in Czech glass history. At the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels, he received an honorary certificate for this "glass composition", which is "pure abstract art".)
The propeller design was created by cutting hot nodular glass with scissors and shaping it into protruding lobes or ribs with vanes. As a result, the levels of shape, size, number and depth are unique to each piece.
In perfect condition - minimal scratches from use on the bottom - also perfect as a gift - particularly heavy piece.
Its height is 36 cm!
It is particularly popular among collectors in the USA. The matching ashtray / cigar tray seen in the pictures has already been sold.
