Tibetan antique blessing-giving Buddha statue - art&decoration

The historical Buddha, born Siddhartha Gautama, is a prince from the Sakya dynasty, who is the founder of Buddhism. To distinguish him from all other buddhas, he was given the name shakyamuni (the lion of the shakya clan). Son of King Suddhodana and Queen Mayadevi. BC He was born in 563. According to the legend, the 29-year-old prince, whose mother died in childbirth and who was raised by his father in isolation from the outside world, had a shocking experience during a ride: he saw a sick person, an old man and a dead person, which made him realize the futility of life and that existence pure suffering. That is why he left his family and home and set out on the path of penniless wanderers.

During his wanderings, he tried almost every spiritual method, including extreme self-torture, and spent several years as a student of various masters. In the end, he continued his meditations alone, and this is how he attained enlightenment at the age of 35 in his bodhga under a bodhi tree. He died at the age of eighty, i.e. he passed into parinirvana.

Blessed Buddha statue:

He sits in a meditative posture, holding his hands with palms facing forward - this is not the classic sign of blessing in Buddhism, but rather shows fearlessness, keeping ignorance and disturbing emotions away. If someone longs for active compassion and protection, all he has to do is ask him for this energy.

The copper statue is handmade (not a series product!) The lower part is hollow inside. The hollow statues can be filled from the inside. Apparently, this happened to this statue at some point.
