About bidding

When bidding, we recommend that you offer the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item, as the item will most probably be sold at a price lower than this.

As the auction goes on and bids are made for the item, we will compare the incoming bids with your maximum bid. If you get outbid, our system will automatically increase your current bid by the bid increment to keep you the highest bidder. This will be done until the current bid reaches the maximum bid you have set. Then, if a bid arrives for the item that is higher than your bid, the highest bid will belong to the other user. In this case, we will send you a notification and you will be able to increase your maximum bid.

How can I place a bid?

In order to be able to place bids, you have to complete the security registration, that is, you must have the status of a verified buyer. Bidding works very easily – we have collected its most important steps below:

Review the item, check its description and the pictures, and find out what shipping and payment options the seller offers. If you have any questions, contact the seller via the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria. If you are satisfied with the item, follow these steps:

1. On the item page, enter your highest bid into the “My bid” field and click on the “Place a bid” button.
2. In the window that appears, check whether you have entered the correct amount, and then click on Confirm.

After the expiry of the auction, we will notify you by email, whether you have won the item, or not, and you can also get further information on what to do.

View bidding history and bidders

In the bidding history, anyone can monitor the progress of the auction, i.e. how many people are bidding for the item, how many bids have been placed and what amounts have been offered by the users.

The username of bidders is not public and is displayed in an encrypted form. (e.g.: a***x)
The username of the bidders is known only by the seller.

Subsequent modification or cancellation of a bid

As a general rule, we do not make it possible to cancel or modify your bids.

What special auctions are there?

Reserve priced auction
The seller may have set a reserve price for the auction. This is a hidden amount, under which the seller does not sell the item. If the highest bid does not reach this amount, the seller is not obliged to hand over the item.

Important notes
Bidding is an exciting process, but keep in mind that with each bid you make a legally binding purchase offer. If you win an item, you are obliged to purchase it.

Do not bid for similar items if you only want to buy just one. If you win both items, you will have to buy both of them.

If you get outbid, wait for the expiry of the auction before participating in the auction of another, similar item. If, for any reason, the highest bidder is unable to complete the transaction, the seller may offer the item to you and you will become the highest bidder.

If the seller has blocked you, you cannot bid on the item with other usernames either.
