Festő, grafikus. Tanulmányait a Képzőművészeti Főiskolán
végezte, mestere Rudnay Gyula volt, akinek később tanársegéde
lett. Tanítómesterének hatása sokáig érezhető volt
munkáiban. 1933-tól először Szeghalmon, majd Nyíregyházán,
1948-tól a Budapesti Műszaki Főiskolán tanított. 1930-tól vett részt kiállításokon Debrecenben,
a fővárosban (Ernst Múzeum) és külföldön is. Csendéleteket, tájképeket, portrékat,
a paraszti életből vett jeleneteket festett. Néhány műve a Nemzeti Galériában, illetve
Debrecenben és Nyíregyházán található.
