A több korszakon átívelő, jelentős életművet létrehozó festőművész, Gerő András (1935) a budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán tanult. Kmetty János és Hincz Gyula volt a mestere.Több európai országban járt tanulmányúton. 1964-ben mutatkozott be képeivel, ezt követően több egyéni és csoportos tárlaton is szerepelt. Ösztöndíjasként dolgozott a Károlyi Alapítvány Vance-i művésztelepén 1970-ben. Ez a feldíszített karácsonyfát ábrázoló, hangulatos, gouache technikával készült festménye a jobb alsó sarokban és a hátoldalán is jelzett. Hibátlan, paszpartuzott, azonnal keretezhető.
