KÁROLYI LAJOS SZEGED, 1877 - 1927, BUDAPEST
Festő. Münchenben és Nagybányán Hollósy Simon növendéke volt. Rómában folytatta művészeti tanulmányait. Itthon tagja a KÉVE-nek. 1898-ban szerepelt a Hollósy-iskola műcsarnokbeli kiállításán. Szegeden telepedett le, ahol több gyűjteményes tárlata nyílt alakos műveiből, tájképeiből, virágábrázolásaiból. 1918-ban a Nemzeti Szalonban gyűjteményes tárlatot rendezett. 1915-től a portréfestés is foglalkoztatta, számos önarcképet festett. A Magyar Nemzeti Galéria és a szegedi Városi Múzeum őrzi alkotásait.
