Mihály Buday was born in 1953 in Törökbec, Yugoslavia.
He graduated from teacher training college in Becsker. In 1975, he moved to Zenta and joined the work of the fine arts group in Zenta at the beginning of the eighties. He is a founding member of the art-90 painting group in Zenta. Since 1991, he has been participating in the work of creative camps in Hungary.
He moved to Hungary in 1994. He works as a teacher. So far, he has had several solo exhibitions, and his pictures have traveled to the USA, Sweden, Germany and Austria. In his creative activity, elements of surrealism, hyperrealism, symbolism and art nouveau combine, creating a new unity and quality.
