Zoltán Hornyik was born in Kemece in 1960. His first masters were Black Barber, János Kapcsa and Lajos Bíró. In 1985, he graduated from the teacher training college in Nyíregyháza, majoring in drawing and geography.
In 1977, he won a graphics award at the Hajdúnánás artist colony. In 1987, he received the special prize of the Mártély artist camp. Figurative oil paintings come out of his studio as well as landscapes, still lifes and interiors.
Exhibitions: Hajdúszoboszló, Nyíregyháza, Nyírbátor, Hódmezővásárhely, Japan, Canada, Germany, Holland, New York, Washington.
