László Bubelényi was born in 1953 in Ungvár, at the foot of the beautiful Carpathians, where he was one of the most talented members of the local painting school. He acquired the basis of his knowledge of art and painting, his love of nature and representation as a private student. He was greatly influenced by the painter Béla Márton and Zoltán Bakony. He was the head of industrial and folk art at the local art gallery, where he also worked with graphics, poster and set design in addition to painting.
László Bubelényi regularly participated in individual and group exhibitions with his paintings. In the year of the regime change, he settled in Hungary, in Cegléd. Miklós Losonci opened his first exhibition in the city gallery. Since 1990, he has been a member of the Hungarian Fine and Applied Arts Association and many renowned galleries.
In the paintings of the painter László Bubelényi, the dynamics of nature are in the center with energetic brushwork. Thanks to the restrained pastel colors, the powerful shapes radiate harmony and the charm of nature. His completely individual style can be seen both in his waterside landscapes and in his unfolding still lifes and portraits that capture eternal beauty.
On March 28, 2018, he died unexpectedly as a result of a serious illness with a rapid course. He left behind an excellent and complete oeuvre.
