Festő. A budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán Szőnyi István tanítványa, majd tanársegédje volt. 1946-48 között a Római Magyar Akadémia ösztöndíjában részesült, ebben az időben Bécsben és Rómában tartózkodott. Az 1960-as években Olaszországban és Franciaországban járt tanulmányúton. Főiskolás kora óta szerepeltek alkotásai kiállításokon (Műcsarnok, Győr, Róma: 1947, 1948, 1949). Alkotásait a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria, a pécsi képtár őrzi.
