Katalin Csomor (1945-) graduated from the high school of arts and crafts in Budapest as a student of László Miskolczy, where she worked as a teacher from 1969. He received his diploma at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, where he was taught by Aurél Bernáth and Jenő Barcsay. After a long preparation period, he presented his own material in his hometown of Debrecen only in 1981. After that, twice in Budapest, then in Szeged, Békéscsaba. His nude drawings indicate thorough knowledge of anatomy and sensitive line drawing. As a counterpoint to this, his paintings are saturated with foreboding and airy "races". The sweeping movement of the blurred figures brings tension to the warm-toned, harmonious landscapes. The swirl of calm and momentum make his works bearers of spiritual content. His works carry within themselves the respect of the artistic endeavors of the past, but at the same time the need to develop an individual voice.
