Ervin Balogh was born in 1925 in Kecskemét. It was presented for the first time in 1954 by the young artists. National exhibition at the Ernst Museum.
Since then, he has been a regular participant in national fine art exhibitions and exhibitions. His pictures have traveled all over the world, from Moscow to San Francisco, from Berlin to Tokyo. He has won prizes in several competitions. He has many pictures in museums, private collections and the property of the national gallery. His painting is characterized by a visionary vision of form that remembers the elements of the natural scene, yet rephrases it to the point of abstraction. It subordinates the sight to the colors. His compositions are often based on one color. His favorite subject is the representation of the varied balaton, about which the artist writes: "this landscape, the silence and the storms, the softly caressing water, the immobility of the frozen lake, the nascent days, the nights sun hiding in its dark embrace, or when you can't see where the sky begins."
