János Szabados graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1962, his masters were: pál miháltz and z. György Gács.
1970: Vaszary Prize; 1971: rippl-rónai-prize; 1980: Munkácsy Award
After his studies, he visited several Eastern and Western European countries. He created in several artist colonies in Hungary as well as Yugoslavian artist colonies. An exhibiting artist since 1962, his painting is characterized by a synthesis of modern form aspirations and common sense. In the 1970s, his work was defined by the processing of the spiritual and formal world of folk art, and in the 1980s and 1990s, by the presentation of human relationships. He also deals with the design and construction of murals. Between 1973 and 1989, he was the head of the creative house in Fonyód.
