A művészről: 1931-ben az Iparrajziskolában, 1932-1938 között Aba-Novák Vilmos iskolájában tanult, a nyarakat a szolnoki és kecskeméti művésztelepeken töltötte. 1946-1948 között első feleségével, Zemplényi Magdával az Elvont Művészek Csoportjának volt tagja. 1957-től Kanadában élt. A festészet mellett plasztikai kísérleteket is folytatott.
