Myron (grim) natwick, creator of the popular cartoon character Betty Boop. He was 100 years old when he died in 1990.

When he returned to the United States from Vienna in 1928, he jumped into the then booming animation industry, with which he briefly flirted during his student years at Hearst International Film Service.

Working for Max and Dave Fleischer, natwick was asked to design a girl character for Helen Kane's popular song 'boop-boop-a-doop'.

"Eight years of art school and night classes drawing thousands of nude models taught me a bit about the female body," he told the times. "I knew every sexy angle and shape, from the turn of the ankle to the shape of the heel of the shoe to where her waist belonged."

His work with Betty led to job offers from "every cartoon studio in Hollywood." Over the years, natwick has worked for Walt Disney's former partner, ub iwerks, Disney himself, Walter Lantz, the US Army (for which he produced training films), and his own freelance animation service. At Disney, he animated Snow White for the movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". We can say that this is how he achieved world fame.

A swaggering Jazz-era caricature of Betty Boop was described in a 1934 court case as having "a combination of childishness and sophistication in appearance—a large, round baby face with large eyes and a button-like nose, very neat clothing, a very small body that might its main characteristic is that it is like the most confident little bust imaginable." Betty Boop has become one of the most recognizable and popular cartoon characters in the world.
