TORNAI GYULA GÖRGŐ, 1861 - 1928, BUDAPEST
Festő. Először Bécsben, majd Münchenben, a Képzőművészeti Akadémián folytatta tanulmányait, mestere Ludwig von Löfftz volt. 1883-ban beiratkozott a Benczúr-mesteriskolába. Egzotikus országokban tett tanulmányútjai után (India, Japán, Afrika) a keleti motívumok váltak jellemzővé figurális képein és csendéletein. 1904-től rendszeresen vett részt kiállításokon itthon (Műcsarnok, Nemzeti Szalon) és külföldön (Párizs, London). Néhány alkotása a Magyar Nemzeti Galériában található.
