Between 1930 and 1934 he studied art at the School of Applied Arts, then at the private school of János Vaszary and Vilmos Aba-novák. Vajda’s encounter with the species and their deepening friendship turned him away from advertising graphics to painting. From 1936 he went to work in Szentendre, among the young artists grouped around the Cornish desi and voivode. In 1945 he became a founding member of the European School. In 1947, as a participant in the second surrealist exhibition, he visited Paris and from 1957 spent four years in the French capital. In 1958, the Jerusalem Bible was published in the edition labergerie, for which he made more than a thousand illustrations. Like his father, art critic Bálint Aladár, he published a lot; his articles are important age documents, his recollections are of literary value.
