Középiskolai tanulmányai után a nagybányai művésztelepen folytatta tanulmányait, majd Hegedűs László tanítványa lett. Az 1911-1912-ben rendezett jubiláris kiállításon tűnt fel először a Művészházban és a Nemzeti Szalonban. Főbb művei: Borulás, Solymár, Eső után, Felhős táj. Főleg tájképeket és csendéleteket festett, az impresszionista irány híve volt.
