Révész Imre tanítványa volt a Képzőművészeti Főisk.-n, dolgozott a kecskeméti művésztelepen is. Tanulmányúton járt Firenzében, Rómában, Velencében, Pádovában.
Első egyéni kiállítását 1928-ban, Pécsett rendezte. 1928-ban Kecskeméten, 1931-ben Velencében, 1935-ben Brüsszelben rendeztek gyűjteményes kiállítást műveiből. Tájképei stockholmi, hollandiai múz.-okba is kerültek. Rézkarcokat is készített.1959-ben Munkácsy-díjat kapott
