He began his art studies in Graz, then in Budapest
Finished. Masters: Béla Spanyi, Vojda Zsigmond. In 1936, he won the recognition of the fine arts company. He went on a longer study trip to Paris, Italy and Germany. From 1916, he regularly participated in the group exhibitions of the gallery and other domestic and foreign exhibitions. Several of his works can be found in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
In the 1930s, Adolf Dietrich was elected a member of several fine arts associations (national Hungarian fine arts association; Hungarian watercolor and pastel painters' association; Hungarian fine artists' association). It is clear from the letters of these associations that the painter's talent, knowledge, and the quality of his works were highly valued.
In terms of twists and turns and historical events, a life path that could not be called poor at all ended in a disaster. At the beginning of the 1950s, dr. Adolf Dietrich and his family. The son of the monarchy, the former ministerial adviser, who acted excellently in the state affairs of his country for three decades, the painter, the Hungarian painter of the sea, died in this village in Jászság on 01.08.1953.
The subject of the painting offered for sale is a real treat, because the artist mostly painted landscapes. Perhaps there is no more such a humorous "picture of life" in his oeuvre.
