Rubovics Márk (1867-1947) tanulmányait a Mintarajziskolában kezdte. Mesterei Székely Bertalan és Lotz Károly voltak. Bécsben, Münchenben Párizsban folytatta tanulmányait. Festőiskolát alapítottak Budapesten Bihari Sándorral, Karlovszky Bertalannal közösen. Fontos szerepe volt a Nemzeti Szalon létrehozásában. Balatont ábrázoló képei a legismertebbek. Gyűjteményes kiállítással mutatkozott be 1912-ben, 1921-ben és 1929-ben a Nemzeti Szalonban, ahol műtárosként működött.
