Arató István (Budapest, 1922 — 2010)
Festő. A budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán elkezdett
tanulmányait családi okokból megszakította. Több szabadiskolában
képezte magát. Mesterei: Börzsönyi
Kollarits Ferenc, Novotny Emil. Az 1950-es években alapító
tagja a Fiatal Művészek Alkotóközösségének. 1954-től vesz részt csoportos kiállításokon.
Első egyéni kiállítását 1964-ben rendezte Szegeden. Kiállítása volt 1982-ben Stuttgartban,
1987-ben a Derkovits Teremben. Rajzalbuma 1984-ben, Fogadj be, régi környék!
címmel jelent meg.
