Osztrák festő és grafikus művész. Munkái legfőképp portrék, élet és tájképek. Bécsben született, előbb építészetet tanult majd a Bécsi szépművészeti egyetemre járt, később tanulmányait a müncheni akadémián fejezte be. Sokat utazott, többször látogatta Olasz országot és Hollandiát. Több állami megbízást is kapott, portrékat festett a királyi ház és az előkelőségek számára. Táj és Zsáner képeivel nagy népszerűségre tett szert , kortársai is elismerték. Munkáit Dániában, Hollandiában, Ausztriában és Németországban is Híres múzeumok, magángyűjtők őrzik.
