What is the purchasing process like at Galeria Savaria?

The way in which you can buy the item depends on the sales form in which the seller offers the item.

The seller can choose from the following forms of sale:

- fixed-price listing

In case of a fixed-price item

1. Purchase the item immediately
To purchase an item, click on the Buy it now button on the item page. After clicking, select the payment and shipping option that is the most convenient for you. These are determined by the seller, thus you can only choose from the options accepted by the seller. By continuing, you can review the details of the purchase, then you can finalize it by clicking on the confirmation button. By clicking on the Buy it now button, you can purchase the item at the price that is indicated on the item page as the price of the item.

2. ... or place an offer
If the seller provides the bargaining option, under the Buy it now button, an additional ‘Make an offer’ button will appear. You can click on this to specify your offer.
You must take into account two conditions for making an offer:
- the amount of the offer may not exceed the amount indicated as the price of the item
- the offer may not be less than 50% of the item price

The offer is valid for 48 hours – within this time period, the seller can accept or reject the offer or send a counter-offer to you. We propose to carefully consider the amount you offer, as if the seller accepts it, you have to purchase the item at this price.

In case of an auction-style listing

Bidding works very easily – we have collected its most important steps below:

Review the item, check its description and the pictures and find out what shipping and payment options the seller accepts. If you have any questions, contact the seller via the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria.

If you are satisfied with the item, follow these steps:
1. On the item page, enter your highest bid into the “My bid” field and click on the “Place a bid” button.
2. In the window that appears, check whether you have entered the correct amount, or not, and then click on the Confirm button.

If another bidder places a higher bid, we will notify you about overbidding. After the expiry of the auction, we will notify you by e-mail, whether you have won the item, or not and you can also get further information on what to do.

If you have any question in connection with the item, its shipping or the payment option, it is advisable to contact the seller before placing a bid, making an offer or purchase. Through the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria, you can ask your questions from the seller by clicking on the Ask seller a question option available on the item page. I bought an item, what should I do now?

If the item was purchased by you at Galeria Savaria, we will inform you thereof in your user account and an e-mail message. You can find your items purchased on the Purchased items page.

After the purchase becomes completed through the system of Galeria Savaria, the partners can find the data necessary for the transfer and receipt of the goods on the ‘Transaction details’ page. In addition to this, when you initiate a transactional conversation, you can share any other relevant information with each other and clarify the details of the shipping and payment of the item purchased.

A transactional conversation is an exchange of messages conducted between the seller and buyer concerning an item purchased. The fact that you are participating in a transactional conversation is clearly indicated to you and your partner in a form of a green basket icon, meaning you can provide also data that is only possible only if the conversation is about the item purchased.

If you find it necessary, you can ask for further contact details of the partner (name, e-mail address, telephone number) after the purchase. You can do this on the Purchased items page, by clicking on the More actions drop-down menu. However, at the same time we recommend to discuss the details of conducting the transaction after the purchase through the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria. Thus you will not only find the transaction-related messages in one place but you can also ask for the assistance of our customer support if you meet any difficulty during the transaction.

The transaction must always be rated on the related surface created by Galeria Savaria. The feedbacks submitted are public for everyone and appear on the users’ profile page. This allows users to find out about the trustworthiness of other members of the community and decide who they want to do business with. Remind the seller that the ratings are important to you, as well, therefore do not forget to write the opinion about you in the form of a feedback.

If possible, please contact the seller in 24 hours, as the lack of communication can create uncertainty in users, therefore, after the purchase, it is important for the parties participating in the transaction to get in touch within a short time.

What should I do if I have agreed with the seller on another amount?

At Galeria Savaria, you can easily make an offer for an item, therefore we recommend that you do not use the messaging system for making an offer in the future. Instead of this, click on the Make an offer button on the item page.

If you have already agreed with the seller in the form of a message on another amount, you have three options to complete the purchasing process according to the rules:

1. Ask the seller to attach an offer to his or her message
The seller can also attach an offer to his or her message, which works exactly like a traditional, buyer-launched offer. If an offer belongs to the message, the buyer can accept it also within the message but he can find it also under the ‘My offers’ menu option. This is a quick and efficient solution for cases where you have agreed with the seller on a different amount and can be used also in case of a fixed-price listing. More information

2. Ask the seller to modify the price
You can ask the seller to modify the price of the item to the amount you have agreed on during the message exchange. Check the price of the item, and if the modified amount appears, click on the Buy it now button. Keep in mind that after clicking on this button, you need to follow the few steps to complete the purchase.

3. Place an offer
Making an offer is a solution only if the amount agreed is less than the price of the item. If the user has marked that he considers offers for the item, you can make your offer by clicking on the Make an offer button on the item page. If you cannot find the Make an offer button under the Buy it now button, this means that the seller has not set the bargaining option for the item. In this case, remind the seller to turn on the option.

What should I do if I agreed on an exchange with the seller?

If the seller and the buyer conclude a transaction by way of an exchange, only the item uploaded to Galeria Savaria can be recognized as a basis for the exchange. In this case, the transaction can be created so that the users purchase the items - constituting the subject matter of the exchange - from each other at Galeria Savaria, for the amount agreed.

I would like to purchase more items from a seller – what should I do?

One of the most important rules in our online marketplace is that the item listed on Galeria Savaria is to be purchased through the marketplace. Accordingly, if you would like to buy more items from a seller, you have to buy all items through the safe system of Galeria Savaria.

If one of the items in question is not purchased through the system of Galeria Savaria or if the seller deletes the item, an offense is committed in this case. We consider it important to ensure that Galeria Savaria can be a safe and efficient marketplace, the community of which conducts business transactions in compliance with the rules, therefore please pay attention to regular shopping. In case of a violation, Galeria Savaria may exercise its right to delete the item or message, or may limit the access of the seller or, where applicable, the user, temporarily or even permanently.

I have made up my mind – can I cancel a purchase?

Before the purchase, the users have the opportunity to discuss issues related to the item or the purchase through the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria, so the buyer has probably acted with a well-considered intention.

The buyer shall be obliged to take over and the seller shall be obliged to hand over the item purchased. However, sometimes it may happen that the parties are unable to complete the transaction. In this case, the transaction must be rated as failed and the user leaving the feedback must explain why they have decided to withdraw from the transaction.

Although it is obvious, we strongly draw the attention of users to the fact that they can buy or sell an item only if they can actually complete the transaction. This is important as we log the failed transactions, and if a user participates in a significant number of failed transactions as defined by the system, his user status will be permanently restricted. The restriction does not allow for any further registrations either.

Therefore, we recommend that you carefully sell your items and strive to achieve a positive feedback of your transactions.

I can’t reach the seller or the seller doesn’t send the purchased item, what should I do?

The e-mail address and telephone number forwarded by Galeria Savaria is always real. If a user enters a false telephone number and e-mail address, he will not be able to register in the online marketplace of Galeria Savaria.

If the seller does not hand over the item purchased, we regard it as one of the most serious offenses of our online marketplace. The situation is further exacerbated if the customer has already paid the item in the meantime.

If there is a problem with the seller and the arrangement of the transaction, we recommend that you contact the user in the last message and remind them that under the policies of Galeria Savaria, he or she shall be obliged to hand over the item purchased. Determine a deadline that can serve as a reference for you and the seller and strongly draw the attention of the other party to settle the transaction as soon as possible. Itt az eladó dönthet a kérelem jóváhagyása vagy az elutasítása mellett, illetve lehetőséget kap arra is, hogy üzenetrendszeren keresztül felvegye a kapcsolatot az érdeklődővel. Az eladó döntéséről az érdeklődő értesítőt kap.

Mi a teendő, ha az eladó elutasítja a vásárlási kérelmet?
Ha az eladó elutasítja a vevő vásárlási kérelmét, mindaddig nem fog tudni vásárolni tőle, amíg nem szerez annyi pozitív értékelést, amennyi megfelel az eladó által beállított kritériumnak.
Az elutasított kérelem esetén elképzelhető, hogy érdemes még egy próbát tenni. Az eladóval az üzenetrendszeren keresztül fel tudja venni a kapcsolatot és rákérdezhet az elutasítás okára. Továbbá érdemes tovább böngészni online piacterünk kínálatában és pozitív értékeléseket gyűjteni.
